LOW-POLY PAVILION
A VIRTUAL REALITY STUDIO & GALLERY space FOR THE WORLD OF DECENTRALAND
The Low-Poly Pavilion is a virtual reality public gallery (found HERE in the world of Decentraland) that acts as an oasis from the surrounding virtual activity. The design maximizes the 16m x 16m site while providing a soft buffer between neighboring LAND parcels. The spatial geometries began as a gesture of lines, a graphic, extruded and intersected upon itself to allow for light, openness, and sequence. An internal conversation pit is centered around two flanking courtyards and a reflecting pool, all contained within 3m walls.
Soft colors, forms, and geometric conditions allow for 360-degree light and openness, which encourages user engagement with pseudo-nature and digital crossflow ventilation (for those data streams, of course). The free plan allows for a range of different uses, including pop-up galleries, live speakers, galleries, intimate events, or simply a private place that encourages conversation.
